Imagine starting your day with a serene morning of bird watching from your cabin's balcony, our main building, the gardens surrounding the property, or the observation tower. This unique experience is the beginning of your stay. We also invite you to explore the warm waters of the Caribbean Sea and the rich marine life beneath. An afternoon of guided snorkeling off the edge of the mangroves next to our main dock is an unparalleled adventure that we are excited to share with you.

Our activities are designed with your needs in mind, whether you want to relax alone or enjoy as many things as possible on land or at sea.
We hope you can enjoy waking up every morning surrounded by nature, taking a step out of your cabin, and breathing the fresh air while listening to the sounds of nature. We hope you like hearing the beautiful melodies generated by the birds. We know these sounds will fill your body with good energy. Although it may not be the main focus of your visit, we may infect you with our love for these winged beings.
These feathered creatures may include:
- Short-billed Pigeon, known as the Paloma Tres pesos "Tres – pesos – son" pigeon because of its onomatopoeic sound,
- Red-lored Parrot will be your alarm every dawn,
- Montezuma Oropendola, with its song, will make you want to know what it looks like,
- Golden-collared Manakin,
- Rufous-tailed Hummingbird and
- Bananaquit will be in charge of welcoming you every morning before breakfast.
It doesn't matter if you don't have specialized equipment because Tranquilo Bay will provide you with quality optical equipment if you wish to appreciate every detail of these and many other species of animals that usually go unnoticed by the naked eye.
Being at the sea's edge is a privilege that few of us can enjoy daily, and the most impressive thing is to see how marine life tries to adapt and survive changes; it is to be admired. In our afternoon snorkeling session, we try to generate the least possible impact, and the sea creatures repay us with their beauty. I'm not lying when I tell you that the reefs near Tranquilo Bay and the Bocas del Toro archipelago surprise me daily. I hope to enjoy them in the same way for years and even longer and better if it is when I am guiding you.
